Overview

Most issues with Volensy indicators on TradingView have straightforward solutions. This guide covers the most common problems traders encounter, along with step-by-step fixes for each one.

If you work through all the relevant steps below and your issue persists, reach out to Volensy support with the details of what you have tried.

Issue 1: Indicator Not Appearing on the Chart

You added a Volensy indicator, but nothing shows up on the chart.

Possible Causes and Fixes

The indicator is hidden.

  • Look for the indicator name label on the chart. If there is an eye icon next to it that appears crossed out, the indicator is hidden.
  • Click the eye icon to toggle visibility back on.

The indicator is in a separate pane.

  • Some indicators (oscillators like QQE MOD and RSI RMI) display in a separate panel below the main chart, not on the price chart itself.
  • Scroll down or look below the main chart area. The indicator may be there in its own pane.

The chart timeframe has no data.

  • If you are viewing a very short timeframe (e.g., 1 minute) on an illiquid asset, there may not be enough data for the indicator to calculate signals.
  • Switch to a higher timeframe (e.g., 1H or 4H) to see if signals appear.

The indicator settings are filtering out signals.

  • Each Volensy indicator has configurable settings. If parameters have been changed from their defaults, signals may be filtered out.
  • Click the gear icon on the indicator label and select Reset Settings or Defaults to restore the original configuration.

The asset does not have enough historical data.

  • Volensy indicators need a minimum number of historical bars to calculate their internal logic (EMAs, RSI, etc.).
  • Try zooming out to show more historical data, or switch to an asset with a longer trading history.

Issue 2: “Invite-Only” or Access Denied Message

You try to add a premium Volensy indicator and see a message saying the indicator is “invite-only” or that you do not have access.

Example of an invite-only access message on TradingView

Step-by-Step Fix

Step 1: Verify your Volensy subscription is active.

  • Log in to your Volensy dashboard at volensy.com.
  • Check your membership status. If your subscription has expired or payment has failed, you will not have access to premium indicators.

Step 2: Confirm your TradingView username is linked.

  • In your Volensy dashboard, check that your TradingView username is entered correctly.
  • The username must match exactly (case-sensitive) the username on your TradingView profile.

Step 3: Check for typos in your TradingView username.

  • Go to your TradingView profile page and copy your username directly.
  • Paste it into your Volensy account settings to ensure there are no extra spaces or incorrect characters.

Step 4: Wait a few minutes.

  • When you first subscribe or update your TradingView username, access is granted automatically through the Whop integration. This process is usually instant but can take up to 15 minutes in some cases.
  • Log out of TradingView, wait a few minutes, then log back in and try again.

Step 5: Contact Volensy support.

  • If you have confirmed your subscription is active, your TradingView username is correct, and you have waited at least 15 minutes, contact Volensy support with the following information:

– Your Volensy account email.
– Your TradingView username.
– The specific indicator(s) you cannot access.
– A screenshot of the error message.

Warning: Do not share your TradingView password with anyone, including support. Volensy only needs your TradingView username (not your password) to grant indicator access.

Issue 3: Indicator Loading Slowly or Freezing

The chart takes a long time to render, or TradingView becomes unresponsive after adding indicators.

Step-by-Step Fix

Step 1: Reduce the number of indicators.

  • Each indicator requires processing power. If you have 3 or more indicators on a single chart, try removing the ones you do not need right now.
  • TradingView’s free plan limits the number of indicators per chart, which also helps prevent overload.

Step 2: Zoom into a shorter time range.

  • Indicators recalculate across all visible bars. If your chart is displaying several years of data, the computation load is much higher.
  • Zoom in to show only the most recent few weeks or months of data.

Step 3: Close other browser tabs.

  • TradingView runs in your browser and competes with other tabs for memory and CPU.
  • Close tabs you are not using, especially resource-heavy ones (video streaming, other web apps).

Step 4: Clear your browser cache.

  • Accumulated cache data can slow down TradingView.
  • In Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data > Cached Images and Files.
  • In Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.

Step 5: Try a different browser.

  • TradingView works best on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox (latest versions).
  • If you are using Safari or an older browser, switching to Chrome often resolves performance issues.

Step 6: Disable browser extensions.

  • Ad blockers, VPNs, and other browser extensions can interfere with TradingView’s real-time data and rendering.
  • Try loading TradingView in an incognito/private window (which disables most extensions) to see if performance improves.

Issue 4: Indicator Display Looks Wrong

The indicator is on the chart, but it looks different from what you expected — colors are off, labels are missing, or lines are not showing.

Step-by-Step Fix

Step 1: Reset the indicator settings.

  • Click the gear icon on the indicator’s label on the chart.
  • Look for a Reset or Defaults button to restore all settings to their original values.

Step 2: Check the “Style” tab in indicator settings.

  • Open the indicator settings (gear icon).
  • Go to the Style tab.
  • Make sure all visual elements (plots, labels, fills) are enabled (checkboxes are checked).

Step 3: Check the “Inputs” tab in indicator settings.

  • Some settings in the Inputs tab control what is displayed. For example, toggling “Show Info Panel” or “Enable Bar Coloring” on or off.
  • Review each setting and make sure the features you want are enabled.

Step 4: Check your chart background color.

  • If your chart background is very light and the indicator uses light-colored elements (or vice versa), elements may be invisible.
  • Switch between Light and Dark themes to see if the indicator becomes visible.
  • Adjust the indicator colors in the Style tab if needed.

Step 5: Check the price scale.

  • If the indicator’s lines or levels appear outside the visible price range, right-click on the price scale (right side of the chart) and select Reset Price Scale or Auto Scale.

Issue 5: Alerts Not Firing

You set up an alert for a Volensy indicator signal, but you are not receiving notifications.

Step-by-Step Fix

Step 1: Confirm the alert is active.

  • Open the Alerts panel (bell icon in the right sidebar).
  • Check that your alert shows an “Active” status. If it says “Stopped” or “Expired”, it needs to be re-created.

Step 2: Check the alert condition.

  • Open the alert’s settings and verify:

– The correct indicator is selected as the condition source.
– The correct plot/signal is selected (e.g., “Buy Signal” vs. “Sell Signal”).
– The condition type makes sense (e.g., Crossing vs. Greater Than).

Step 3: Verify the alert frequency.

  • If the alert is set to “Only Once”, it fires a single time and then stops. Consider using “Once Per Bar Close” for ongoing monitoring.

Step 4: Check your notification settings.

  • In the alert configuration, confirm that at least one notification method is enabled (App, Email, Popup, etc.).
  • If using email notifications, check your spam/junk folder.
  • If using the TradingView mobile app, make sure notifications are enabled in your phone’s settings for the TradingView app.

Step 5: Check TradingView’s alert limit.

  • Free accounts are limited to 5 active alerts. If you have reached your limit, new alerts cannot be created. Delete or pause alerts you no longer need.

Step 6: Verify the timeframe.

  • Alerts are specific to the timeframe on which they were created. An alert set on the 1H chart will not fire based on 4H chart conditions. Make sure your alert is set on the intended timeframe.
Note: TradingView occasionally experiences server-side issues that can delay or prevent alert notifications. If all your settings look correct, check TradingView’s status page or community forums to see if there is a known outage.

Issue 6: “Error Loading Data” or Blank Chart

The chart shows an error message or appears completely blank.

Step-by-Step Fix

  1. Refresh the page — Press F5 or Ctrl+R (Cmd+R on Mac).
  2. Check your internet connection — TradingView requires a stable connection for real-time data.
  3. Try a different asset — The issue may be specific to the data feed for the asset you selected. Try switching to a major pair like BTCUSDT or EURUSD.
  4. Clear browser cache — Follow the cache-clearing steps from Issue 3 above.
  5. Check TradingView status — Visit TradingView’s status page to see if there are known issues with their platform.
